ACT offers heat pipe based temperature calibration and control products that operate at temperatures of -40°C to 1,100°C. These products use various working fluids, including ammonia, methanol, water, cesium, potassium and sodium, to cover the wide temperature range. These products have been used in temperature calibration and materials processing applications.
Isothermal Furnace Liner (IFL) is an annular heat pipe used inside a high temperature tube furnace. It provides near absolute temperature uniformity over the entire length and circumference of the tube furnace wall.

Heat Pipe Blackbody Cavity (HPBC) is an annular heat pipe with a hemispherical or conical end cap. Since the working fluid is in two-phase equilibrium with its own vapor, all wetted surfaces are isothermal. ACT sells cavity components or integrated units with heater and control packages.

Pressure Controlled Heat Pipe Furnace (PCHP) is an electric tube furnace in which the working space is enclosed by an annular heat pipe. The vapor space of the annular heat pipe is connected to a helium gas reservoir. An elaborate control system is used to precisely measure and control the helium pressure and consequently the heat pipe temperature.

In addition to these "standard" products, ACT also designs and manufactures custom high temperature products for specific applications. Below is a photo of a curvilinear high temperature heat pipe for thermal protection of the leading edge of a space reentry vehicle.
