Feasibility Studies

Trade Studies

Using our extensive product development and manufacturing experience, we’ll evaluate potential solutions from many different aspects including: cost, performance, manufacturability and reliability. Design and Analysis
Our staff has the tools and experience to provide solutions that not only meet the thermal specifications but also system, mechanical and cost requirements. We are very adept at developing single and two phase heat transfer models. Whether it’s a simple extrusion or a high heat flux pumped two phase loop, our engineers can design and specify a solution that is appropriate for your project and budget.
Product Testing
Our laboratory includes a host of testing and characterization equipment from standard data acquisition systems to high temperature and high heat flux testing metrology equipment. Our experienced quality-conscious technicians ensure all testing is performed in accordance with industry standards.
Advanced Thermal Simulations
We can accurately model anything related to heat transfer. ACT’s thermal engineering professionals have simulated thermal phenomenon at all lengths and scales including the atomic (Ab Initio, Molecular Dynamics), microscopic (Boltzmann Transport Equation, Phase Field Modeling) and macroscopic (CFD, FEA). ACT also develops custom codes for analyses involving multiple phases and components, including: two phase boiling flows, thermal storage using Phase Change Materials and chemical reaction mechanisms. The simulation team’s strong collaboration with leading academic researchers ensures the group is always at the state of the art in thermal simulations.

Provides a quick, fixed- price, low cost option for projects when it is uncertain whether some thermal issues need to be addressed. HLA package Includes

1-2 page summary report prepared by thermal expert to include problem definition, potential solution identification and recommended next steps in clear, precise and understandable language
Report is typically issued within 5 business days of the conference call
On Site Assessment $7,500 (Travel within continental US included)
More detailed than the High Level Assessment, the on-site assessment includes meeting at client’s facility. Specifically OSA package includes:

½ day meeting at client’s facility
