ACT Hosts Another Successful American Red Cross Blood Drive
Lancaster, PA – October 23, 2024 – Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc., a leading thermal management company, hosted another successful blood drive, in partnership with the American Red Cross on October 23rd. The blood drive was the latest in ACT’s biannual effort to support the Red Cross and meet the ongoing need for blood donations in the local community.
At the end of the drive, a total of 22 units of blood products were collected, equating to 66 lives impacted by the donations. This contribution also helped ACT exceed 100 total donations since starting the blood drive program in 2022, reaching 110 donations.
“We’re proud to partner with the American Red Cross twice a year to host these important blood drives,” said Elizabeth Seber, ACT’s Wellness Committee head and R&D Engineer. “It has been an honor to help facilitate these blood drives. Donating blood together has become something that connects us, and I have come to appreciate the sense of community these events bring.”
The blood drive was organized by ACT’s Wellness Committee, who worked to promote the event. The drive was open to both ACT employees and all tenants of Burle Business Complex, where ACT is located. All participants received refreshments and were entered into a raffle for prizes.
ACT has a longstanding commitment to supporting its local community through its employee-run committees such as Wellness and Corporate Social Responsibility groups. The biannual blood drives are just one way the company gives back and encourages employees and their families to get involved.
