The Completion of ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D Re-Certifications Shows ACT's Continuing Commitment to Superior Quality Standards
Lancaster, PA: Advanced Cooling Technologies (ACT), Inc. announced today that it has successfully passed a rigorous surveillance audit for re-certification for ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D. The Quality Management Systems (QMS) audit, performed by accredited registrar Intertek Testing Services, covers the design and manufacturing of ACT’s products and services for the aviation, space, and defense industries along with all other terrestrial markets.
The annual surveillance audit is an in-depth dive into many aspects of the manufacturing process, including Design Control, Management Responsibility, Customer Satisfaction, Contract Review, and Purchasing. This re-certification ensures ACT is compliant to industry QMS standards.
Darrell Beck, ACT’s Quality Manager, successfully led ACT through this quality audit amidst the obvious hurdles that were brought on by COVID related safety concerns. “ACT customers demand strict quality standards, and we take those demands very seriously. This year our quality audit was executed differently at it was virtual due to the need to enforce social distancing, but that didn’t change what was required of us. Our re-certification for AS9100 and ISO9001 validates ACT’s commitment to quality and customer care. We’re looking forward to another year of continuing our commitment to elite quality standards!”
Darrell also noted that ACT has invested a great deal of resources in obtaining and integrating new equipment in the last 18 months. Some of the new equipment includes: a Hexagon Fixed CMM, Additional FARO Portable CMMs, and a 150X Magnified Vision Inspection System.
It is also of note that the quality audit was completed shortly after ACT completed its 5th facility expansion (current footprint of 83,000 sq. ft) since the company’s inception in 2003. These expansions accommodate ACT’s continued growth in various industries including aerospace, defense, power electronics, energy recovery HVAC, and sealed enclosure cooling.
