Lancaster, Pennsylvania – January 2, 2007 – Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) has received the prestigious AS9100-B aerospace quality standard certification and recertification to the ISO9001:2000 international quality standard by Intertek Testing Services. ACT successfully passed the quality system assessment without any nonconformance. The AS9100-B standard, written for the aerospace industry, is based on the ISO9001 standard and includes additional aerospace related requirements. ACT achieved the ISO9001:2000 certification in December 2005 and upgraded the Quality Management System in 2006 to the more rigorous AS9100-B quality standard.
The upgrade of the quality system complements the formation of the Aerospace Products Group in May of 2006. “This allows us to serve the specialized needs of the aerospace community as well as our customers in the terrestrial markets.” says Mr. John Hartenstine, Quality Assurance Manager at ACT, “This certification demonstrates our commitment to providing a broad depth of quality products and services for aerospace and terrestrial thermal management applications.”
ACT’s Aerospace Products Group is currently developing advanced thermal technologies and manufacturing multiple flight hardware units for a number of aerospace customers. “The AS9100 certification validates the aerospace product manufacturing processes we’ve established at ACT,” says Mr. Peter Dussinger, Manager of Custom Products at ACT, “we’ll continue to improve our processes to provide the highest quality products to support our customers’ missions.”
