ACT’s liquid jet impingement technology is developed for applications that have unconventional form factors and require very high heat flux capabilities. ACT has developed and validated correlations to accurately predict the heat transfer coefficients and critical heat fluxes (CHFs) of jet impingement of various fluids. The two figures below show the measured heat transfer coefficients of water, methanol and HFE-7000 jet impingement, respectively.
Based on these fundamental investigations, ACT has developed engineering solutions that address practical issues associated with multiple jets, excess liquid, liquid stagnation and temperature non-uniformity.
